Covid-19 Preparation & Prevention Policies

NeoPangea is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all our employees and our clients and guests. To ensure we have a safe and healthy workplace, we have developed the following COVID-19 Preparedness Policies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. All employees are responsible for implementing these policies. The goal is to mitigate the potential transmission of COVID-19 in our workplace and community, and that requires full cooperation from our employees. These policies follow guidance developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

  1. Employees should familiarize themselves with the common symptoms of COVID-19 and monitor for those. If any symptoms should develop, employees should stay home, notify their supervisor, and contact their health care provider.
  2. Anyone with a temperature greater than 100.4° F should immediately leave the building, inform their supervisor of their fever, begin quarantining at home, and contact their health care provider.
  3. NeoPangea requires all employees to stay at least six feet apart whenever possible, regardless of masks are being worn. If physical distancing is not possible, employees should limit the time of the contact and avoid any physical contact. To ensure your safety we created a COVID-19 office policy when it comes to having COVID-19 symptoms or after exposure to the virus. Please review the policy below to understand when it is safe to come into the office.

Regarding working at the office, please follow the policies below if you have recently traveled, have flu or cold like symptoms, were exposed to COVID-19, or tested positive for COVID-19:

  If you recently traveled:

If you have recently traveled, please stay away from the office for at least 5 full days. A person with COVID-19 is considered infectious starting two days before developing symptoms. You may return to the office after 5 full days if you do not develop any symptoms of COVID-19.

When to test?
  • Those who develop symptoms should get tested as symptoms develop, but if a test is negative and symptoms persist another test might be needed a few days later, particularly for those who use at-home test kits.

If you have flu or cold like symptoms:

Notify your supervisor if you have symptoms of respiratory illness or other cold like symptoms and please do not come into the office until you are free of fever, and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever reducing or other symptom altering medicines (ex: cough suppressants). A fever is defined as a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit taken by an oral thermometer. You may return to the office after a negative test or after 5 days when symptoms fully resolve.

When to test?
  • Those who develop symptoms should get tested as symptoms develop, but if a test is negative and symptoms persist another test might be needed a few days later, particularly for those who use at-home test kits.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19:

If you had recent contact with an individual known to have tested positive for COVID-19, or have been exposed to a recent high-risk situation, such as national or international airline travel to a known virus “hot spot” or who has had contact with an individual from a high-risk area, you should notify your supervisor immediately and stay away from the office for at least 5 full days but continue to monitor symptoms for at least 10 days. A person with COVID-19 is considered infectious starting two days before developing symptoms. You may return to the office after 10 days if you do not develop any symptoms of COVID-19.

When to test?
  • The CDC recommends that anyone who may have been exposed to someone with COVID should test five days after their exposure (with or without symptoms), or as first symptoms appear.

If you tested positive for COVID-19:

Immediately notify your supervisor and other individuals you encountered. Do not come into the office until after receiving a negative test and 5 days of being fever free without the use of fever reducing or other symptom altering medicines.
