Watch through your phone as the AR spectacle of a WWE Superstar entrance breaks beyond the boundaries of your TV in perfect sync with the on-screen action.
There's nothing like the phenomenon of a WWE Superstar entrance, but there are so many elements that can't translate from the arena through a viewer's screen. We partnered with eyecandylabs and the WWE to step outside the television and bring fans across the world a truly enhanced viewing experience. In Augmented Reality, viewers could see lasers, smoke, and even flying pancakes leave the video and soar toward their couch. This proof of concept could easily progress beyond the entrance later to include stats, bios, and particle effects that accompany the performers' in-ring action.
Once the calibration is complete, and even before the performers appear on screen, the AR experience begins. Rapidly, the viewer’s living room is invaded by sparkly effects and 3D animations like rainbows, Unicorns, spinning silverware, and a massive 3D Titantron screen all emanating from their television and synced to the TV. As viewers walk around and explore the environment, sponsored product placement (Snickers) blasts out of the screen along with The New Day’s signature breakfast treats. As the experience concludes the effects fade out allowing the WWE enthusiast to focus back on the match that is about to begin.
