ProofLab: The Afterlife goes Holographic

Meet Nefrina. She lived over 2,000 years ago, but thanks to some good old R&D and Victorian stage techniques, she’s become more than just a name on a sarcophagus! Now visitors can hear the personal history of Nefrina in her own words as she comes to life in this immersive hologram museum installation.

Join us as we chat with John Graydon Smith, former Director and CEO of the Reading Public Museum, now president and CEO of the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), on how we worked with museum scholars, scanned the remains of Nefrina in 3D, and created a holographic replica, bringing to life a relic of the past.
